Hello everyone and it appears that I have not updated the site in what appears to be a year and 16 days.  Aside from the fact that my life has changed a lot from not going to film school, I am progressing a lot in my long term goals.

I have found a lot of comfort in pursuing the production aspect of the news media in my studies at the University of South Florida.

I am currently attached to direct a script along side my friend, Eric J. Seidman, in the Summer of 2008.  The film is entitled "The Brothers Cornell".

I am also now seeking donations from people to help fund my short film I am shooting this summer, so if you can help me in any way, please email me and help me get my short film into production.

It's not a good day in the world of Andy, I am still awaiting admissions decisions.  God help me!

However, I did find this picture!

Any similarities?!?  I see more than one!

In recent news, I have just completed my film school interview with the Florida State University Film School.  This is an excellent opportunity to advance my career to very great new heights.  Even though, I was bitter over being rejected last year, I think that it has pushed me that further in the industry.  I have never before been this starving toward recognition and understanding the industry as a filmmaker.  This time last year, I had no award or selections, just a rejection letter.  I think I have matured beyond comprehension in establishing what my goals are in the industry.  Something as minute as film school will show you how easily you can break in the movie biz.  If anyone can be a testament toward climbing out of the dirts and into your dreams, it is me.  Even if you think you have reached the lowest point in your career, fight it, Dakota Fanning is just around the corner!

Click here is see the letter I am so stoked over!  That is the letter of advancement to the next round.  I think my interview went extremely well and I look forward to hearing from them at the FSU Film School.  Well, I just wanted to tell you where I am at these days and keep me in your prayers.  As for last year's letter, it's burnt somewhere in my fireplace.

In even more good news, my film has been nominated for Best Student Film at the Palm Beach Film Festival this coming April.  My film, along with two others are up for one of 3 places that give cash prizes up to $1,500 as well as a sweet trophy.  Come to the Palm Beach Student Film Festival website to check out my progress.

Good Night, and Good Luck.

Howdy doody everyone, a copy of the interview that I had with the FSView is now available for you to read if you have the opportunity.  This is a big thing to happen for me in that it brings awareness of my filmmaking to my own local area.  I hope you have the time to check it out.  It will be listed in the Press section as a link, but you can access it also by clicking here.

Thank you all for visiting and I will keep you posted on any new information that comes my way.

Hey all, big news has happened to Andy Nguyen Films in the past few weeks.  Firstly, being accepted to an extremely prestigious festival in the Nashville Film Festival.  In addition, the past Monday, I was awarded the Movie Gallery Student Film Festival 1st Prize Student Film with a thousand dollars and a sweet trophy.  Once I receive those items, I will post some of the sweet pics under the photos section.  The award total is now an amazing 9 and I can not tell you have ecstatic I am to see the film come this far.

The next week is going to be very big in that I have screenings at Universal Studio's San Fernando Valley International Film Festival as well as the Phoenix Film Festival.  I will update you more on how well my film does there!  Thank you so much for visiting!

Well, a lot of stuff has happened over the course of the past few weeks, "A Silent Night" has been accepted to about 6 more film festivals and it is all posted in the filmography section.  Most notably, I have been named a finalist at the Jay Sanders Student Film Festival.  This is very important in that I have a high chance at winning a cash prize!  I will keep you updated on where I stand on that!  Also, two weeks ago, "A Silent Night" was named Best Student Film at the Magnolia Independent Film Festival represented by my buddy Katie Fuselier.  Big thanks to Katie for being such an awesome rep!

Hello everyone!  I fixed some format issues in the "Filmography" section and added some links for those of you to connect to the website of selections and awards as well as some cool facts.  Also, I need to post all the laurels from all the festivals I have been accepted to.  I have got A LOT of emails pertaining to when I am going to release a DVD and I am in the process of authoring it, so if you would like to order a copy, email at my below so I can ship it to you right when they are done.

I have also started a movie page of all the movies I own at FSU and I will be posting some reviews of them when I feel like it.  Besides that, check out my movie collection by going here!

Also, I have put a the animation Test Tape that Dan and I made earlier in our filmmaking endeavors!  You can see it by clicking HERE!

Hey everybody, I have now taken over this website (aka new Webmaster!) and will update it myself now!  I will keep things up to date a lot more easily now that I do not have to go via Devron.  I would like to thank Devron for all of the work that he put into designing the website.

I just posted a buttload of pictures for you all to look at in the "Photos" section.  I have also changed the "Press" Section to include video from my Heartland Acceptance Speech as well as a local version of the IFF Feature Interview along with some press clippings that I have received recently.

The site construction is finished, the only remaining element of the website that has yet to be implemented is a full featured section for A Silent Night. The trailer is available for download, just click the A Silent Night banner at the bottom of this page. Contact me or Andy Nguyen via the e-mail addresses at the bottom for any questions, comments, or concerns. Although this site was a solo project, I usually work with others in a collaboration called SporeStudios. Visit the site for more information.
